Having access to the internet means that you have access to unlimited opportunities to learn, grow and yes, even make money. If you have a computer and even some fairly basic skills, you can earn a living as a freelancer, via a side hustle or even by starting your own business, and chances are you have some of the skills that are needed to make a decent buck already – even if you don’t there are lots of skills, like the ones below that are surprisingly easy to learn and surprisingly lucrative too…
English
If you can speak English to a decent standard (and if you live in an English-speaking country and you’re reading this you probably can), then you have all you need to potentially make money online. How? By becoming an online English tutor. Using technology like Skype, you will teach individuals all over the world how to speak the language for around $21 per hour, even more in some cases. You can choose to work for a company or as a freelancer, and if you’re really ambitious you could even set up[ your own online tutoring agency – the choice is yours.
Coding
A lot of people think that coding is really difficult to learn, and although it can seem like gobbledygook at first, it’s actually not all that hard to pick it up once you get going, There are numerous coding courses you can take fairly cheaply both on and offline and once you’ve picked it up you can start making apps, coding websites and making a lot of money! You have to be dedicated but it is a really high demand skill right now, so it’s well worth the effort.
Web Design
If you see a local indesign training course, then enrol now! Why? Because everyone and their dog needs a website in the 21st Century and many of them are willing to pay a fair sum of money to have a really attractive one designed for them. Best of all, it has never been easier to learn web design with so many free resources online to guide you though the process. If you’re good, you can charge as much as $100 per hour for your services, which means it could be an excellent business venture for you. Even if you don’t want to go the whole hog and learn the very technical aspects of web design, if you learn how to use WordPress to a high degree, there are even people who will pay you to install plugins and tweak template designs using that platform too!
Video Blogging
Learning how to make and edit your own video blog, or vlogs, as they are more commonly known, could be one of the most lucrative skills to learn fo them all. Why? Because some vloggers earn millions of dollars in advertising revenue and sponsorships every year. Admittedly, this is not the norm, but you could easily make a couple of thousand dollars if you focused on writing great content, recording it to a high standard and promoting it widely.
Learn any of these skills, and you are opening yourself to endless opportunities to grow your bank balance.
