I have just finished recording my RankCipher review. I have done it differently, and I cover some things that others won’t tell you. I have included my reasons for why you need to be careful with a software like this.

While it has many advantages, there are some things I highly recommend you DON’T do with RankCipher. Hope you find my review useful.

So what is Rank Cipher? It’s a software that promises to get you free traffic from Google organic search. And it promises to do that by building lots of backlinks to your money site. You can build backlinks to your website blog home page, specific pages on your blog or website that you want to rank for various terms, or to your pages on other websites (for example, to your YouTube videos, Blogspot blog, Quora.com page with your answers etc).

Rank Cipher Review

You need traffic for whatever you’re doing online. Getting traffic is the hardest thing in internet marketing. There’s always paid traffic, but the trouble is that it’s hard to figure out a system which will allow you to pay for traffic, and still be profitable.

That’s why FREE traffic is a great option. And one of the best ways to get free traffic is Google Organic Search results. I am not an expert on Google traffic, but I know a thing or two about getting free traffic from Google. At the moment, on the dadshustle.com blog, I get 40-80 visitors every day for free from Google:

So it’s absolutely possible to get page 1 rankings. In order to get those higher rankings in Google, you need to have backlinks pointing to your site. For Google, it’s a sign that your site is authoritative and the more links you have pointing to your site, the more are the chances that Google is going to rank your site higher in the search results.

However, it takes a huge amount of time to build the links. Normally, here is what you have to do as a blogger: you need to write great content, then you need to find out the top blogs in your niche, then get in touch with those blogs in your niche and they network with them, comment on their posts etc. Then after a while you need to mention your content to those bloggers, and see if the other bloggers might be willing to link back to your content.

Sounds like a lot of work, right? That’s because it really is a lot of work. There are other options, such as paying other people to do it for you, but that costs a lot of money.

How RankCipher Works

This is where a software like RankCipher comes in. It allows you to automate the link-building tasks. It allows you to set up intelligent link-building rules and to build a network of backlinks to your target site quickly and automatically.

With RankCipher, you can use a cool visual designer to set up your “link tree”. For example, you can say that your main “money site” is dadshustle.com. Then you can choose from a huge array of backlink sources – Web 2.0 sites like tumblr, blogspot etc, some other sites that allow powerful do-follow links, article directories, and other places where you can get backlinks.

Here is how the link tree looks inside the Visual Designer:RankCipher Rank Cipher visual designer

Then you can set up the full multi-tier linking structure. For example, the article directory can link to a tumblr page. Then you can have blogspot link to the tumblr page, and a second article directory link to the tumblr page. So the Tumblr page might have 3 links pointing to it. From there, that Tumblr page can point to your main “money site”.

Why would you want to do that?If a Tumblr page is pointing to your main site, that’s good. But if that Tumblr page has many other pages pointing to it, then it will pass much more “link juice” to your money site when it’s linking to it, because in Google’s eyes that Tumblr page will have more authority.

After you’ve done this, you’ll have tons of other options to play with:

  • Copy/paste your article so that it can be submitted to the various locations as content (you can use PLR content)
  • Connect multiple spinner services to make your submitted article unique
  • Using proxies
  • And others

After that, RankCipher will go ahead and automatically build out the full link tree.

It is VERY powerful. What about the results? Well, in my video I show how the authors have their domain http://mehandidesignsarabic.in/ rank on Page 1 for many tattoo-related keywords:

Why you need to be careful with RankCipher

Now, one word of caution that I wanted to include in my review: if you already have a website which is very important to you and is your main site, and if that site is getting mostly organic Google Traffic, I would recommend against using RankCipher on that site.

Why? Well, Google algorithm is insanely smart. And it is getting smarter every single day. Official position of Google on backlinks is that you are not allowed to build backlinks. You are not allowed to pay for backlinks. And you are not allowed to artificially build links to your sites. They consider link building to be an attempt to artificially influence Google algorithm.

If we’re completely honest with ourselves, that’s exactly what RankCipher does – it builds lots of artificial links in an automated fashion. So it’s grey hat.

And if you have a site that is getting lots of free traffic from Google, and if you run RankCipher, there is a chance that sooner or later Google will find out through their algo and they might penalize your site by dropping it off their index.

If your main site right now is NOT relying on Google free traffic, you’re probably ok to use RankCipher since if you lose all existing Google traffic you won’t be impacted anyway.

You can probably also safely use Rank Cipher in other places – for example to rank your YouTube videos higher or your Quora.com pages with your answers higher. Those sites (YouTube and Quora) have so much authority that 100 links are unlikely to impact your pages negatively in any way.

You can also start some new websites and use Rank Cipher on them. Or you can use Rank Cipher on some websites which are secondary to your business. You will know that those sites are sort of “disposable” and if they disappear at some point – no big deal.

I personally will be using RankCipher to build links to my YouTube videos when I am trying to rank them. But I would not build links to my dadshustle.com blog with it, simply because I’d be too worried to screw up my rankings.

For vast majority of people though, this is a great software that can be very very powerful.

      Hi Greg,

Very informative review and educational, and I like to thank you for that! It’s honest and direct with nothing left unsaid! Without a doubt I sincerely appreciate this feedback and review, not most affiliates will do this. They simply want to make the sale! Not you!

Now, with that said… I appreciate the DON’T’S of using a money site for it. Especially one already establish or doing well… although it really hasn’t applied to me… LOL! I took the challenge to do SEO some years ago, it bore me and confused me to HELL! I dislike doing it. But, however – this tool makes life easier in that regard. Again, I appreciate the honestly here.

My issue is that I have an online Shopify store – I also have a word press website on my IT business which doesn’t have any SEO on it. Heck, I had to move my site from Godaddy to another hosting provider because they offered me a lower cost in hosting, so at this point this site only has WP installed with the theme already on it. I simply have just entered my address, logo, and basic stuff at this point and haven’t really built the site up again. (http://buyitpc.com). Being that it doesn’t have content yet on it, and being that my shopify store: (https://urbantrend.store) has product on it and has made very little amount of sales… would you agree to use the buyitpc.com site with this SEO tool? Build it up with, adding content and articles, etc. then take a chance on the ranking with this tool? When you say that Google is getting smarter and smarter on this… what evidence can you prove on how they would sabotage any ranking as you fear?

Also, if I were to use this tool for my shopify store – would I have to create blogging articles in order for it to be ranked? Would this tool offered be able to be used like the word press sites, etc.? I hope this question made some sense to you?

I fear the answer could be obvious, but I am skeptical at this point as it’s another expense of $45 for the full fled product, and being I really know nothing about SEO and have a difficult time to understand it… that you may say this may not be good for me. However, the idea of Youtube video ranking is interesting… and posting video’s online and even if they are unranked by this tool as you claim… does prove a validation that this could be useful. Would this video creation being embedded to an existing site that Google would also detect and unranked. For example. I create a video on youtube – then embed the video onto my urbantrend.store to sell a physical product. Then use this tool to rank it and get thousands of visitors on it… would it reflect urbantrend.store site if google decided to do their whammie/ unranked as you claim on the site or just youtube?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions, no matter how stupid or obvious it may be, although you already stated the facts. I just like to get some clarity on it all.

      Thanks 🙂

Hey David, thanks for the comment!

        1) In order to rank on Google, a page ideally needs to have some content. All other things being equal, a page with 1,000 words will outrank a page with 50 words. So yes, if you’re trying to rank a page, it should have some content on it (300+ words is good, ideally 1000+).

        2) BuyItPc.com seems to be pretty much empty. If you’re going to build it up (and are NOT going to rely on it 100% for your survival) then it’s ok to use RankCipher on it. You will need to choose some good low competition phrases you want to rank for. For example, you will probably never rank for “buy a pc” but maybe for something like “computer repairs Holsworthy” you can eventually rank

        3) Yes, it’s a great tool to rank your YouTube videos. YouTube already has MASSIVE authority. If you add relevant keywords, and build a few links – you can get lots of views to your video, then just link to your site in the description.

I hope I answered your questions – please give me a shout if you have any more!

This review was so honest Greg. You are one of a kind.

Thanks again for the detailed warning on the pros and cons of this tool.

    • Dan Hemenway

I have no idea on how to set up a “link wheel” or tiered links. Is there training on how to do that? Do I set this up once and let it rip or do I gave to set up new links everyday? Thanks for a great review!

      • Greg Kononenko

Hi Dan, thanks for the question, yes there are 3 good training videos about that inside the members dashboard. And thanks for the feedback!

    • David Morales

      Thanks Greg,

I realize content is key, and that’s helpful in fact to realize.

Important question, as there are three choices of the software… not sure what the majority of the decision would be on these? The suggested more expensive one or the “Core”? Being that Youtube or my site in question as discussed earlier is the objective… is the “Elite Edition” really necessary? Would the “Core” be enough?

    • Vic

Sounds very interesting but also too much hype. Although I really think I’m going to try it myself and see if it actually works.

Just one question, how fast does it rank a site? Days, weeks, or months?
I appreciate the honest review! You’re great! Thanks

      • Greg Kononenko

Hi Vic, thanks for the question. Really depends. If you’re ranking a YouTube video, you can get it ranked within a few days. If you’re trying to rank your site for a low-competition phrase, it might take a few weeks to a few months, depending on the competition.

It’s a tricky question, because SEO rankings are not an exact science. But in general, the more links you have, the higher the chances that your whole site (not just a specific page) will rank higher.
