How To Make Money On Shopify With Dropshipping

Want to know how our partner makes over $10k a month using Dropshipping & Ali Express?

From what I keep hearing in the emails that I receive, it’s quite common to be jumping from model to model. And the reason for that is that most of the online methods are CONFUSING.

Well, one of my “side hustles” is something very simple and it works very well. And if I was starting from zero online, I know exactly which model I would follow. I would get into eComm, because it’s just so simple. It’s not “get rich quick” easy and requires a little bit of work, but it’s just very clear and straightforward.

How does it work, in summary?

You sell something for $20. You get the money. Then you buy it for $2 and get it delivered straight to the buyer who paid you $20. No inventory, no hassles, no delayed cashflow. You get paid upfront, before you have to buy the stock.

Watch my review to find out exactly how it works:

Before I get into the actual review of our upcoming launch Turnkey Profit Machines, I want to explain to you how simple the eComm model truly is.

How exactly does it work? Well, you use a site like WatchCount.com to find a hot, in-demand product. Here is an example:

You can see there is a dog collar listing on eBay which currently has 94 watches, and has had 344 past sales. This indicates that this item is in-demand, people like it, put on their watch lists and buy it.

What is the opportunity for us? Well, it means that if someone is prepared to pay $2.53 for it on eBay, they will be prepared to pay $10 or $20 for it online. People easily spend money on physical things. Think about yourself. Have you ever walked into a store and dropped $20 on something without even thinking about it? That’s right – physical products are a much easier thing to sell than eBooks and online courses, because they have much higher perceived value.

So here is what you can do: You can create a Shopify store or your self-hosted WordPress store and list this item for $10.99 total ($0.99 price + $10 shipping so total price $10.99), and people will pay you that via Paypal. Once you have received the payment, you go to a site like Ali Express and buy it from there for $1:

And just like that you’ve made a very nice profit of $10.

Another example is a cool laser bike light on AliExpress.com for $1 (including delivery to the US). You can sell it on your store for $8.95 or even $14.95, being let’s say $0.95 listing price and $8 delivery fee or $14 deliver fee. You pocket the difference. Cool, right? Margins are large, and best of all you don’t even have to pay any money upfront for the inventory. You list it first, sell it, get the $14.95, and only after that place the order for $1. Instant cashflow and no need to stock the inventory because it’s effectively getting drop shipped from Ali Express straight to your buyer.

Hi guys, I am here if you have any questions at all 🙂

    • Chris

Sorry but it’s not the truth. You said “if someone paid 2.53$ for a collar on ebay, people paid 10 ou 20$ online…….” Seriously? I don’t think so. People are not stupid. If a collar (or anything else) cost 2.53$ on ebay, it cost probably the same price on Amazon! So people don’t buy a collar 10 or 20$.

And a lot of people know AliExpress. it’s not a secret.
Try to create a campaign with a 10$ collar. I bet anything that anyone paid for this, and you received a comm on facebook with the Aliexpress link! I already did this, so I know what I’m talking about.

this is probably another training where the author says to go to aliexpress, look for an object in demand on watchcount and try to sell this. No value added.

Greg-This product has alot of positive reviews, but I don’t see how “simple” it could be, especially WooCommerce sites. Then there’s the pitch for this product about needing an hour a day to “maintain” it; not sure what that means. Plus, wouldn’t you need to be around most of the day to monitor sales and fulfill orders? Reason I’m asking is because I work 84 hours a week and not sure I could just switch to this, though the OTO’s make me think I’d have a fighting chance to quit work.
PS – Here’s a freebie for you : Another site to check out the best AliExpress hot-sellers for Shopify or eCom sites is thieve.co (UK site I think). Check it out!
Thanx again for the review Greg.

      • Greg Kononenko

Hi Tim, thanks so much for your comment. Well, it’s relatively simple. It’s definitely much simpler than creating a blog with hundreds of pages. It’s definitely simpler than creating and trying to sell your own software. Hope this makes sense, everything is relative in comparison. And eCom / AliExpress / Dropshipping is a relatively simple business.

Those who want the simplest way to make money (I am not meaning you by the way) should stick to working. Anything that’s related to business is more complicated. Think about setting up your own restaurant. Or your own consulting company. Now “THAT” is hard. Dropshipping is a business which is much simpler than a restaurant or a consulting company. Working is the simplest because you turn up and you get paid.

Fulfilling orders can be done at night. Or every 2nd night. Amazingly, customer in the physical niche are 10x nicer than the customers in the internet marketing niche. They don’t mind waiting, they say hello and thank you.

Eventually, after the orders get to 20+ a day, it makes sense to hire a VA to fulfil orders. Average cost for a VA is $3 an hour. And in 1 hour they can process 10 orders easily so it’s only another $0.30 cost per order.

Working 84 hours a week is super hard. I used to do it while I was a student, I had 2 full-time jobs during the summer and winter breaks.

This is a good model. You can explain to your family what it is you do 🙂 But yeah I do have to say – it’s not a push button system and it will definitely take some time and persistence to implement and to get results. Just like any business.

      Hi Greg,

just to clarify one thing: I’m not saying you’re a newbie, or you have a fake training. I respect you and I have already buy some product you have review.

But I’m so tired to see many many training about how to go to ali express and sell a product. All of these training claim there are unique, and they want to show us they have a “cash button” and we earn a lot of money.

I have bought a training about exactly the same thing. I have created a shopify store, find a product in a “in demand” niche, sell it on my store for a low price and split tested 2 different thing.

      1) Sell a product for free + shipping cost -> Create a fb ads -> Result? Negative comment, or just like but no purchase. People says it’s strange and tells you: “why do you sell this product for free? No sense!”
So they don’t buy it. Scepticism is the right word.

      2) Sell a product for a very low price, with or without shipping. People like but don’t buy too. Important: I have received many link on Aliexpress store for buy the same product.
So if I’m not every day on my post to delete this type of comment, people see the aliexpress price and don’t want to buy a product with a higher price.

In each case, people think you scam their.

I don’t say the training is useless, I just say people knows aliexpress and don’t be cool with you.
But if you have a good store with this method, it’s good for you.

      • Greg Kononenko

Hi Chris, thanks again for the comment. What I think makes our course unique is the case study that we’re including in the main product, in the frontend offer. It’s not just theory.

But anyway, the main point of this post was actually to explain the method to everyone, not really to sell this product. I’m going to keep this post updated with new information.

There are still LOTS of people out there who don’t know anything about this model and I really hope they’ll find it useful.

Additionally, in regards to the issues you’ve faced, you can try this:

        – Disable the comments on your Facebook ad posts, it’s in the settings
        – You can auto-filter out comments by keyword

Additionally, only 1 or 2 out of every 10 products you test will become winners. You should stick with it and eventually you’ll find products that sell really well.

        • Chris

And your audience in ads doesn’t tell you “where is the trap” when you announce a product for free with only shipping cost?

          • Jo

Greg is right. With my store I had to stay up on deleting comments. There will be people that know it’s cheaper on Amazon/ ali express etc but just delete their comments and block them if they wont leave you alone. In regards to the free skepticism one thing I fiddled with was doing $1 plus shipping. But honestly both ways work if you have a good product. It’s just about finding a good lead product that people want and then adding sensible up sells.

One thing I wish the course covered in the case study was fulfillment. Because at that order volume there is no way that guy is doing individual fulfillment. So does he outsource someone to do it individually?
I would send csv file to manufacturer but I could only do that for the lead product and I had to fulfill every up sell individually and it really really slowed me down. That and customer service.

          • Greg Kononenko

Hi Jo, in my ads I always put “Get the product for Free, just pay shipping”, this way ads are not misleading.

            • Jo

Yea on free plus shipping offers I did the same. Just saying the product is free is misleading.

So do you know how he did fulfillment with that order volume?

            • Greg Kononenko

Hey Jo, yeah he hires a Filipino worker for $3 an hour and she can do around 10 orders per hour

    • Sandra Stewart

      Hi, Greg,
How do you get around the slow shipping with Ali Express or anywhere in Asia? I ordered something from a site on Ebay that I thought was located in the U.S. and waited a month to receive the item. What do you tell your customers about shipping time? In this day most people do not want to wait a month to get a dog collar or any other item.
      Thank you,
      Sandra

      • Greg Kononenko

Hi Sandra, thanks for the comment, you would just use the suppliers who use e-Packet which is very quick delivery.
